Dear Moms,
We totally get where you're coming from.
Everything seemed perfect, then you got pregnant and that seemed perfect too until it hits you like a ton of bricks, that things just won't be the same from here.
You anticipated the usual struggles of sleepless nights and postpartum recovery, but this whole mom thing seems to be more than you bargained for.
Once your baby arrives, your body needs to heal and your baby will be completely dependent on you for a long time. Little things like a night out to dinner or planning a family vacation now has a new set of challenges you didn't expect.
That glass of wine to wind down at night, or that regular girls night out to the local craft breweries seem like a distant memory as you countdown to your due date.
And it can be completely overwhelming.
You and your partner get frustrated and tension builds up as you try to navigate your new roles as parents. All you want to do is spend some time together or even go on a date, but now just leaving the house to run an errand can be an ordeal.
It's okay to feel overwhelmed and scared about your lifestyle changing. Just because you have a new baby doesn't mean your life comes to a screeching halt, and with a little practice and some support you can get your life back on track - or get comfortable on a new track altogether.
Postpartum life takes a little extra help to navigate and we want to make sure you never feel like you're trapped or compromising your lifestyle for parenthood.
A postpartum doula is there to coach you through this emotionally and physically trying time, offering newborn help and getting you feeling like yourself again.
Remember, this is all a transitional period.
Enter your postpartum days feeling supported and celebrating the experiences ahead (even if you're feeling a little mournful for the days of the past.)
