Christine's professional career in supporting families with young children spans more than 20 years and includes family case management, non-profit lobbying, community organizing, and non-profit program management. Her passion for supporting families through the transitions of birth and parenthood led her to become a certified doula in 2014. Christine worked as an independent doula both in Illinois and North Carolina, prior to opening Doulas of Asheville in 2016.
In addition to owning and operating Doulas of Asheville, Christine is the surrogate screening manager for Southern Surrogacy, interviewing potential surrogates and guiding them through the approval process. Elizabeth Pauley
Owner & Doula. she/her
Elizabeth added "doula" to her credentials in 2014 after a decade as a Registered Nurse, eight years of which she worked in the postpartum/mother-baby unit of a busy hospital in Charlotte, NC. Elizabeth has cared for thousands of mothers and their new babies as a nurse, and as a doula she brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and compassion to her clients.
In addition to her work with Doulas of Asheville as a doula, childbirth educator, and placenta encapsulator, Elizabeth is also currently a Labor & Delivery and Maternal Fetal Medicine RN at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC.
