More about Tiffany…
What brought you to doula work?
I've been passionate about reproductive health for a long time after watching women in my family struggle with various reproductive health issues, searching for answers and support. After studying communications in college and working with small business and nonprofits around authentic communication, I shifted my focus to therapeutic communication that helps bridge western medical care with patient centered support. I became a Full Spectrum Doula and began meeting families to nurture them through experiences of infertility and pregnancy loss and then through the tender postpartum period and finally through birth work, slowly growing my knowledge and capacity in understanding the reproductive health spectrum in the physiological process of conception, pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.
What’s your favorite way to spend a day off?
When I’m not supporting families, you can find me in the woods admiring plants or cozied up inside with a book of poetry.
If you could take a month long trip anywhere in the world, where would you go?
Hmmm, so many places! Ireland and Scotland are currently at the top of my list as those are the places that the majority of my ancestors came from.
Tell us something about yourself that we may be surprised to learn.
I lived in a tiny house on wheels for a little over two years and can build a very small fire. I hiked 350 miles of the Appalachian Trail in my 20s and now live in a small town on the Appalachian Trail and am always out in the woods exploring with my husband, Siberian Husky, and puppy Arlo.
